Bonjour Paris

Touchdown, and Shirley and I are at CDG airport in Paris after a sleepless flight from CT to Dubai and then midnight to 4 AM transfer.

Got our luggage and after much research knew exactly how to get into town, cought the blue line train into town ( €10 Each per ticket), cab to our hotel (€16 driven by a friendly guy from cote de voir )but alas it was only 12:30 and the room would only be done by 3. Headed off for lunch at l'Entrecote de Paris ( do I sound like a frog yet?) €43 for salad, steak, frite and a burger for  Shirl (never seen such big portions of chips).
We then sauntered up the Champs Elyse to the Arc D, not far as our hotel called the Hotel powers which is on a road that runs parallel to the CE!
Tired, need a shower and a sleep - check in, bath, nap and hit the metro (okay we went the wrong way at first but seemed to get the hang of it by our return trip from Gallery Lafayette).

Okay, hotel time, hit the market for a baguette, some ham, cheese, jam, fruit and yogurt for tomorrow (€23). Tired now, signing off after a good day.

Arevoir.
