This weekend we hired a 1971 VW Campervan that had a suped up V6 engine and headed of to Kleinmond. The excitement was all in the journey getting there with stops along the coast for pictures and when we finally got there, a cold beer was in order! Shirl, Hope, Ta and her boyfriend Michael all fitted in the campervan quite snuggly and apart from the big bus like steering wheel, I soon got the hang of driving lttle Miss daisy.
The site was quite crowded and the beach very ruggeed so we for Onrus for a swim in the rock pools and a visit to Michael's old beach house. Supper consisted of Chicken potjie and breakfast was obviously jaffels - because whats a camping trip without Jaffels.
Shirl definitely wants one of these camper vans - they are so much fun!
