Franchhoek 2016

We love Franchhoek, originally settled by French huguenot's in 1688 it is a valley that is planted with vines as far as the eye can see and maybe even more restaurants.

Lucky enough to have a free night at the Villas of the Franchhoek Hotel and Spa (thanks Hotels.com and the 1 reward night that we earned from staying 10 nights in France), the family headed into Franchhoek for a weekend of swimming, eating, laughing, chilling and reading.

Sunday morning was greeted with Coffee and Pastries at a little bistro on the main drag and then on too lunch at Haute Cabriere which is a win farm at the base of the Franchhoek pass. All I can say is the Jamie Oliver would have been proud and impressed with Fillet, duck ala-range, squid salad, chocolate cake and obviously wine.
